Anger Management
Anger is a normal human response — the trouble starts when it's aimed in the wrong direction, or shows up more often than you'd like.
How it shows up
Everyone gets angry sometimes. It becomes a problem when anger is directed outward at other people, damaging relationships, or turned inward, quietly wearing down your own well-being. Common triggers include grief, feeling threatened or ignored, unmet expectations, jealousy, and old patterns learned growing up — many people simply never learned another way to respond to frustration.
Left unmanaged, anger can strain friendships and work relationships and, at its most intense, lead to real conflict. It’s also linked to physical effects like elevated blood pressure, headaches, sleep problems, and digestive issues, along with connections to depression and anxiety.
How hypnotherapy helps
Anger is often a “cognitive distortion” — your mind reading a situation as more threatening than it actually is, based on old belief patterns. Hypnotherapy works with those patterns directly. Using clinical hypnosis alongside CBT, Pattie helps you build a new mindset around old triggers, so you can recognize the moment before a reaction takes over and respond more deliberately instead.
This is about giving you tools to think your way through triggering situations, not suppressing how you feel. Real change depends on your genuine willingness to look at the pattern honestly and do the work between sessions.

Common questions
Is anger management therapy the same as hypnotherapy? They overlap. Pattie combines clinical hypnosis with CBT techniques used in traditional anger management work.
Will this help if my anger is aimed at myself, not others? Yes — anger turned inward is just as much a focus, since it can quietly affect self-esteem and confidence over time.
How long before I see a difference? It varies by person and how long the pattern has been in place. Pattie will give you an honest sense of that after your consultation.
