How it shows up

Occasional worry is normal. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is different — it’s a longer-term pattern that can spread into almost every part of your life, leaving you feeling like you’re always braced for the worst. Common signs include:

  • Feeling on edge or unable to rest
  • A constant sense of dread
  • Trouble concentrating or getting motivated
  • Racing heart, tight muscles, or a dry mouth
  • Sweating, dizziness, or headaches
  • Sleep that doesn’t come easily or doesn’t stick

In more intense moments, anxiety can escalate into a panic attack. Anxiety often travels with stress, low mood, and a feeling of losing control — and it’s easy to end up isolated as it grows.

How hypnotherapy helps

Hypnotherapy works with the mind and body together, rather than trying to talk your way past the feeling. Pattie uses clinical hypnosis alongside CBT and NLP techniques to help you recognize what’s driving the anxious pattern and build a calmer, more grounded response to it. The goal isn’t to suppress how you feel — it’s to give your mind clear “instructions” it can actually follow instead of spiraling.

This is gradual work, and it depends on you. Hypnotherapy isn’t magic — it can only help you change if you genuinely want to and are willing to put in real effort alongside it.

What a session looks like

Every new client starts with a free 20-minute consultation to talk through what’s going on. From there, sessions with Pattie are $150 and available in person at her Scottsdale office or remotely over Zoom.

Common questions

Is this the same as medication? No — hypnotherapy doesn’t replace medical treatment. If you’re on medication or have concerns about your physical health, talk to your doctor as well.

Will one session fix it? Some people notice a shift quickly, but GAD usually built up over time, so lasting change usually takes more than a single visit.

What if my anxiety turns into panic attacks? That’s common and worth mentioning in your consultation — the two often overlap and the approach can be adjusted accordingly.
