Baseball Mindset
Baseball is a game of inches played mostly between the ears. Mental training helps you show up locked in, pitch after pitch, at-bat after at-bat.
How it shows up
Baseball rewards players who can stay mentally sharp through long games, repeated failure (even great hitters fail most of the time), and high-pressure moments that come down to a split second. A shaky mindset can show up as overthinking mechanics mid-swing, losing focus between pitches, carrying a bad at-bat into the next one, or freezing up when the game is on the line.
Players at every level, youth, high school, collegiate, and professional, run into stretches where their mental game falls out of sync with their physical skill, even when nothing has changed mechanically.
How hypnotherapy helps
Pattie Freeman is a NESTA-certified Sports Mind Coach who works with athletes at every level, including professional players, on the mental side of performance. Sports Mental Training uses hypnosis and visualization to help you train your subconscious mind the same way you train your swing: repetition, focus, and confidence built to become automatic.
Sessions are customized to your specific sport and role on the field, whether that’s staying locked in at the plate, keeping composure on the mound, or resetting quickly after a mistake instead of letting it snowball.
What a session looks like
Every new client starts with a free 20-minute consultation, in person at Pattie’s Scottsdale office or by phone or Zoom, so she can understand your specific goals and where your mental game is breaking down. From there, sessions run $150 each, customized around your position and your season schedule.
Common questions
Is this like traditional sports psychology? It overlaps in goal, better focus, more consistency, but uses hypnosis and visualization techniques to work with the subconscious mind directly, rather than talk-therapy alone.
Do you work with youth and high school players, not just pros? Yes. Pattie has worked with players at every level, including high school athletes working toward college scholarships.
How quickly will I notice a difference? Many athletes report a mental shift within just a few sessions, though ongoing work during a season helps maintain consistency.
