Hypnoanalysis
Suggestion therapy can ease a symptom for a while. Hypnoanalysis goes after why the symptom is there in the first place.
How it shows up
Many people have tried a quick fix for a fear or anxiety, one session of suggestion-based hypnosis, and found the relief didn’t fully last, or the underlying feeling resurfaced in a different form. That’s because standard “suggestion therapy” works with what you think and feel about a problem in the moment, without necessarily addressing why the problem developed in the first place.
How hypnotherapy helps
Hypnoanalysis is a more in-depth form of hypnotherapy designed to resolve the cause of a problem rather than just managing its symptoms. It’s especially suited to anxiety, depression, fears, phobias, and other primary psychological issues where a deeper, repressed experience may be driving the current-day pattern.
Sessions create a safe therapeutic environment where the subconscious can release previously buried experiences, allowing you to move forward without those earlier events quietly running the show in the background. Unlike single-session suggestion therapy, hypnoanalysis typically requires fewer sessions than approaches like standard CBT, often around 3 to 6, held on a weekly basis.
Not everyone is suited to this deeper process; Pattie carefully assesses each client during the initial consultation to determine whether hypnoanalysis or another modality is the better fit.
What a session looks like
Every new client starts with a consultation with Pattie to assess fit and discuss your history. From there, sessions run $150 each, typically weekly, over a course of about 3 to 6 sessions depending on your situation.
Common questions
How is this different from regular hypnotherapy? Regular suggestion-based hypnotherapy addresses how you think and feel about an issue in the moment. Hypnoanalysis works to identify and resolve the underlying “why,” which tends to produce more lasting change.
Is hypnoanalysis right for everyone? Not necessarily. Because it involves working with deeper subconscious material, Pattie screens for fit during your consultation before recommending this approach.
How many sessions does it typically take? On average, hypnoanalysis requires fewer sessions than talk therapies like CBT, often 3 to 6 weekly sessions, though it varies by individual.
